On minimalism
Minimalism ≠ Owning almost nothing.
You must own something to survive.
Minimalism ≠ Throwing your old stuffs & Buying “high-quality alternatives“.
You can sell and donate some of your used items to others gradually. You can keep using your old stuffs and be happy.
Minimalism ≠ Zero redundancy.
You need to have a degree of redundancy to prepare for the “unexpected“ rainy days. The most important things are foods, water, first-aid kits, emergency funds, key documents, power banks, etc.. You may also need to backup your valuable information. It is good and necessary to have them even if you don’t use them often.
Minimalism ≠ Decluttering.
Don’t aim for decluttering everything. If you won’t even try to find the things that you’re passionated about, you will keep hoarding things you don’t need. If you get things that matter to you, you’ll naturally abandon the unimportant. Then minimalism becomes organic and sustainable.
